Raspberry Dog Cookies
These 4 ingredient cookies are a hit with my dogs! I like them because they are healthy and so easy to make. These soft cookies are perfect for breaking into tiny pieces to give as treats.
Important! This is not a substitute for a nutritionally complete meal. This is a treat recipe and may be fed as a fresh food treat in place of processed treats.
Ingredients:
-
1/2 cup of frozen raspberries that have been thawed, drained and pressed. (I put 1 cup of frozen berries in a colander, allowed them to thaw and then used a spoon to gently press out the juice to get 1/2 cup of raspberries. Reserve the juice to drizzle over your dog's meal.)
-
1 egg, cracked
-
1 tablespoon coconut oil - warmed to liquid
-
1/4 cup, plus 1 tablespoon, of coconut flour
Steps:
-
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
-
In a medium sized bowl add egg and coconut oil and mix until combined.
-
Add raspberries and mix until combined.
-
Add coconut flour and stir until mixture forms a dough.
-
Press dough into silicon food molds. I used the Wilton brand of molds that are approximately 5 cm x 4 cm and 1.5 cm deep. Each mold holds 1 tablespoon of dough.
-
Place dough filled mold on a cookie tray and place in oven.
-
Bake for 17-19 minutes, or until dough springs back when touched gently.
-
Cool on a wire rack and remove cookies from molds.
-
Allow to cool, and store in a container in the fridge.
-
This recipe makes about 10 cookies using the mold dimensions described above.
